🚨 Tottenham's Ivan Perisić close to a return home on six-month loan deal
Hadjuk Split deal at final stages
At 34 years old, Tottenham Hotspur ace, Ivan Perisić, is coming to the end of an illustrious career.
Age and injuries may have wearied him, but the immaculate skill set that he possesses is still intact.
The Croatian’s 2023/24 campaign was curtailed by an ACL problem picked up earlier in the season, and at the start of this year Spurs manager, Ange Postecoglou, was even quoted as saying that the player “won’t, in all likelihood, play for us again.”
That’s as much to do with the player’s contract at White Hart Lane running out at the end of the season as for him no longer being in the Australian’s plans moving forward.
Therefore, a six-month loan deal to boyhood club, Hadjuk Split, was always going to be of interest to Perisić.
However, he will need to work incredibly hard to be able to even make an appearance for the club, given the ACL progosis was that he’d be out for the entire campaign.
The deal to take Perisić back home is at the final stages now according to Daily Briefing columnist, Fabrizio Romano, with the player himself keen to make history at the club.
An official announcement can therefore be expected imminently.
What do you think of this deal Tottenham fans? Would you have preferred Perisić to stay at White Hart Lane if he’s fit enough to play? Let us know in the comments!
