🚨 Unhappy Liverpool in talks with RB Leipzig to terminate Fabio Carvalho loan
21-year-old has played just 257 minutes so far this season.
Liverpool are unhappy with Fabio Carvalho’s lack of game time while on loan at RB Leipzig.
The former Fulham starlet, who joined Liverpool in the summer of 2022, has struggled to take the next time in his career.
Failing to become a regular under Jurgen Klopp, the 21-year-old was forced to accept a season-long loan move to Bundesliga.
However, the attacker’s time in Germany could be cut short. According to leading transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have opened talks with RB Leipzig to terminate Carvalho’s loan once the January transfer window opens next month.
“Liverpool have opened talks with RB Leipzig to bring Fabio Carvalho back in January due to insufficient game time,” he posted on X.
“[…] Liverpool not happy with this loan. Decision on next steps to be made soon.”
Before his loan switch to the Red Bull Arena, Carvalho, who has three-and-a-half years left on his Liverpool contract, managed three goals in 21 appearances in all competitions.
