Hi Fab, I have a question about a contract negotiation for a loan player. When clubs trigger a buy-option or purchase-obligation on a player acquired on loan, do they negotiate with the players-side on terms and conditions? Or have they already agreed on those matters before the original loan deals were signed. Economic common sense suggests they should agree all the matters first, but it is doubtful whether they can agree that much just before the deadline. On the other hand, if they must have another negotiation for a permanent move, some clubs might not be able to trigger the option even if they have it. It’s puzzling. Tell me about it.
