Arsenal strengthened their position at the top of the Premier League table with a solid victory over Burnley.
Goals from Viktor Gyökeres and Declan Rice ensured the Gunners moved seven points clear of second-placed Bournemouth, who are set to visit Manchester City on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s men fully deserved their win, extending their unbeaten streak to nine consecutive victories across all competitions as their title charge gathers pace.

Joao Pedro wins London derby for Chelsea against Spurs
João Pedro’s first goal since August secured a vital 1-0 victory for Chelsea over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
A moment of brilliance from Moisés Caicedo in the 34th minute at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, winning the ball twice before setting up Pedro, proved decisive as Enzo Maresca’s men claimed all three points.
Tottenham, meanwhile, struggled to create any real danger, managing only three attempts and just one on target, their lowest attacking output in any match this season.

Liverpool end their losing run against Aston Villa
Liverpool got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 triumph over Aston Villa at Anfield.
After enduring a four-match winless run in the league, the Reds ended their poor spell on Saturday evening thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and the returning Ryan Gravenberch.
Salah’s strike marked his 250th goal for the club, making him only the third player in Liverpool’s history to reach that milestone after Ian Rush and Roger Hunt.

Arsenal
Arsenal will let Gabriel Jesus leave the club this winter and are open to either loan bids of permanent offers worth €30M. Bournemouth, Fulham and West Ham are all keen to keep him in the Premier League, while AC Milan and Juventus lead the charge in Serie A. Aston Villa have joined Manchester United in wanting to sign 19-year-old Brazil striker Endrick on loan from Real Madrid in January. (Daily Star)
Aston Villa’s obligation to turn England attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott’s loan move from Liverpool into a permanent switch is thought to kick in if the 22-year-old makes 10 appearances for the Midlands club. (Independent)
