'We will see' - Luis Enrique on Kylian Mbappe's future at PSG
PSG manager has urged patience regarding Mbappe's future.
Regarding Kylian Mbappe's future, Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has urged patience, stating that everyone must wait for the player and PSG to make an official announcement.
With the Ligue 1 team having advanced to the UEFA Champions League semifinal, it is reasonable to assume that the player will want to avoid noise regarding his future on hold in order to concentrate on winning the competition.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on his X account, the PSG boss urged people to wait to see what Mbappe has to say about his future.
Enrique said, as quoted by Romano:
“Let’s wait for mr Kylian to speak about his future. When Mbappé and PSG will speak in public, we will see”.
“It’s like a process. Until Mbappé goes and speaks in public, I’m just here waiting and staying silent”.
The French international has made no announcement on his future. His contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
In the past, he has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid but it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
The former Monaco attacker scored twice against Barcelona at Camp Nou in a comeback win for his team.
The Ligue 1 club will face Borussia Dortmund in the semifinal of the Champions League.
After taking his team to the Champions League semifinal, Mbappe said, as reported by Romano on X:
“I’m proud to wear PSG as I'm Parisien. I dream to win Champions League with PSG, we will try to go to Wembley”.
For the remainder of the season, Mbappe will remain at PSG, where he will aim to guide the team to its first-ever Champions League victory.
PSG, who currently lead the Ligue 1 standings by 10 points, are also very close to winning another Ligue 1 title.
However, they would be hoping to win the Champions League this time, having failed to win it in 2020 when they lost the final against Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, PSG are looking to sign an attacker!
