Messi makes history in Argentina’s win vs Austria
Argentina beat Austria 2-0 to continue their perfect start at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Lionel Messi scored both goals, making up for an early missed penalty.
Messi opened the scoring in the first half before adding another in stoppage time. The win secured Argentina’s place in the knockout stage and kept them top of Group J.
By scoring two goals, Messi became the all time top goal scorer in World Cup history.

France ease past Iraq thanks to Mbappe brace
France continued their strong 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win over Iraq in Group I. Kylian Mbappé was once again the star, scoring twice to put Les Bleus in control.
Ousmane Dembélé added the third goal after a long weather delay, making sure there was no late drama. Iraq worked hard and tried to stay compact, but France’s quality in attack proved too much.

Haaland inspires Norway to win vs Senegal
Norway earned a thrilling 3-2 win over Senegal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, securing their place in the knockout stage. Marcus Pedersen gave Norway the lead before Erling Haaland took control with two second-half goals.
Senegal fought back through Ismaila Sarr, who scored twice to keep the game alive. However, Norway held firm under pressure and claimed a huge victory in Group I.
The result was another big statement from Haaland and Norway, who now look like one of the tournament’s dangerous outsiders.
