Today’s top stories:
AC Milan
AC Milan are close to reaching an agreement on personal terms with Real Betis left-back, Juan Miranda. The player is considered to be an ideal solution and a five year deal is being discussed. Initial plan is to sign him as a free agent in June 2024 but AC Milan could try to sign him in January.
Arsenal
Arteta on Kai Havertz as a number nine: "Yes, he's one of the candidates as we have different profiles. For Kai, the minutes that he’s played, he’s been really good. It’s good and it’s difficult for the opponent as well to figure out who will play."
Arteta reveals: “Martin Ødegaard has been carrying a little thing that has not been very comfortable.”
Arteta was delighted with Eddie Nketiah’s contribution in Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Sheffield United:

Barcelona
Lamine Yamal makes history again as he became the youngest player ever to play in El Clasico. He broke the previous record held by Barcelona player Vicente Martinez from 1941 - 82 years ago.
Xavi: “I think even a draw would not reflect what we saw on the pitch. I think we played a game to win but we lost — it’s a bad result although I think we played a good game. We didn’t lose because of the referee. The goal is to win the league and this isn't over.”

Bayern Munich
A mad game in Bavaria saw Bayern plunder eight second half goals in an 8-0 win over Darmstadt. Pick of the bunch was this epic finish from Harry Kane (that’s 14 in 13 games now!):

FC Bayern president Hainer: “If other clubs are looking at Jamal Musiala, that doesn't surprise us. He has a contract with us until 2026 and knows what he has at Bayern, he knows that all doors are open to him here. I’d like to have him with us for a very long time.”
Brighton and Hove Albion
De Zerbi on Mitoma: "I have no words left for Mitoma. He's really so, so underrated. The world of football hasn't understood the value of Mitoma. He can be an incredible player for any manager, not just for me. He's insane."

Chelsea
Pochettino supports Sanchez: "He is very relaxed, very calm. We are helping him. Football is about mistakes. The responsibility is with the whole team and the coaching staff is the first. To blame someone is to blame us, myself, but not him."
Sanchez was caught in no man’s land, however, when Brentford hit their second goal in a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge - the first time any team has won their first three Premier League games at Chelsea:

Pochettino: “Enzo and Mudryk felt something in training yesterday, small muscle injuries for them both. We hoped they would be okay to be in the squad but they aren't quite ready. We didn't want to take risks.”

Feyenoord
Santi Giménez: “In recent days, people far from my camp mentioned me and my future. I have NO agent. The only person taking care of my career is my dad with Mariel. Don’t consider any statement from other people. If we have any news to share, we’ll let you know.”
Liverpool
Fluminense’s André on Liverpool bid in August: “Every player dreams of playing at such a club but I decided to keep my word and stay. If I'd accepted that offer, I’d not feel 100% comfortable with myself.”
Liverpool star Luis Díaz’s parents were kidnapped in Colombia. It happened in Barrancas, La Guajira on Saturday. The police are reportedly taking care of the case and sources close to the player confirm that his mother Cilenis Marulanda has been rescued by the police. The operation to free his father continues.
Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes on Erik ten Hag: "The relationship with the manager is very good. He has found a group of leaders that he wants to speak with. He speaks directly with me when he wants me to say something, to pass something through the group, same with the other close group of players."
Newcastle
Newcastle confirm that Sandro Tonali has been banned from football for ten months, as effective from Friday, 27th October 2023, following illegal betting charges by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). FIGC's sanction includes an overall 18-month ban, with 8 months commuted as the player participates in a therapeutic plan and educational programme in Italy consisting of 16 commitments.
Callum Wilson’s two goals in Newcastle’s 2-2 draw against Wolves took him to 44 goals for the Magpies in total. It meant he leapfrogged Andy Cole and Shola Ameobi in the all-time list, and now only Peter Beardsley (48) and Alan Shearer (148) are ahead of him. His first of the day was a bit special:

Fair to mention how Luka Modrić entered in the most difficult moment for Real Madrid during El Clasico… and then the game changed. Quality, leadership, professionalism. 38 years, 47 days — he has become the oldest player to play in El Clasico. A football legend.
Ancelotti: “We’re all surprised by the amount of goals by Jude. He’s incredible, extraordinary. Luka Modrić? He changed the game, absolutely. He kept the ball, controlled everything. He changed it all.”
