AC Milan
AC Milan and France goalkeeper Mike Maignan has suffered a dislocation of the 5th finger on his left hand. Initial tests have ruled out fractures with Maignan set to wear a brace for a week until further tests. A decision will then be made on his availability for Euro 2024.
AC Milan and Stefano Pioli will officially part ways today as expected, it's over since March. AC Milan keep working on details to appoint Paulo Fonseca as new head coach.

Ajax have appointed 35 year old manager Francesco Farioli as new head coach. Farioli leaves OGC Nice and becomes the first Italian manager in Ajax history.

Atalanta
Atalanta are set to meet with Gian Piero Gasperini on Friday to open talks over a new contract. Current deal expires in June 2025 but Atalanta will offer Gasperini a new long term contract. It’s up to Gasperini now.

Vincent Kompany has informed Burnley of his agreement with FC Bayern as he really wants to join the club. Negotiations ongoing between the two clubs on compensation fee, all proceeding in order to reach the agreement soon.
Bayern have added Dani Olmo to their shortlist for the summer transfer window. Max Eberl knows Olmo well from his chapter at RB Leipzig, Bayern are in the race with Barça and two Premier League clubs are also interested. Olmo’s release clause for this summer: €60m.
Benfica
Benfica trigger buy option clause for Álvaro Fernández, deal completed on Friday. Álvaro signs with Benfica for the next five years. Manchester United will receive a fee in the region of €6m. United will have a buy back clause, matching rights and also a sell-on clause.
Bournemouth
Former AS Roma director Tiago Pinto expected to be announced as new President of Football operations for Bournemouth in the next 24 hours. Deal done.
Cagliari
Claudio Ranieri (72) retires from club coaching — but he remains open to national teams. Decision confirmed after saving Cagliari from relegation battle. Legendary Premier League title at Leicester City will remain one of biggest achievements in modern sports history.
Chelsea
Kieran McKenna (Brighton also want him and will wait for him), Enzo Maresca and Thomas Frank all remain on Chelsea’s list, but it’s still open to other candidates as internal talks continue.

Palmeiras manager Abel Ferreira on Estevão to join Chelsea: “Endrick to Real Madrid and then Estevão to Chelsea now… in one year. I hope Chelsea won’t sign any other player from us, I hope they will leave us alone. Please, give us a break.” Here we go, confirmed.

Juventus
Thiago Motta to Juventus, deal sealed and set to be announced soon — here we go, confirmed! The manager has informed Bologna of his decision to leave the club after a fantastic season, as expected. Thiago will now sign as new Juventus head coach until June 2027.
Juventus have now reached full agreement to extend Andrea Cambiaso’s contract. New long-term deal will be valid until June 2029 with salary increase included for the full-back who’s also highly rated by Thiago Motta. Done deal.
Juventus have decided to challenge the Cristiano Ronaldo ruling after he officially won his legal battle with the club over his wage dispute. Juventus will work legally to avoid paying Cristiano around €9.8m plus interest.

Official, confirmed. Julen Lopetegui has been unveiled as new West Ham United Head Coach. Agreement sealed two weeks ago and now also confirmed on club side.
Julen Lopetegui on other proposals he had this year: “Yes, we had other opportunities… but I am very happy that West Ham chose me because I chose West Ham. We came here with the idea and the thought to make a big, big noise.”
OFFICIAL: Lucas Paquetá has been charged by the English FA with misconduct in relation to alleged breaches of FA Rules E5 and F3. ‘It’s alleged that he directly sought to influence the progress, conduct, or any other aspect of, or occurrence in these matches by intentionally seeking to receive a card from the referee for the improper purpose of affecting the betting market in order for one or more persons to profit from betting.’
Lucas Paqueta has also been charged with two breaches of FA Rule F3 in respect of alleged failures to comply pursuant to FA Rule F2. The player has until 03 June 2024 to provide a response.
Lucas Paquetá: “I’m extremely surprised and upset to see that the FA have decided to charge me. For nine months, I’ve co-operated with every step of their investigation and provided all the information I can. I deny the charges in their entirety and will fight with every breath to clear my name. Due to the ongoing process, I will not provide any further comment.”
