Today’s top stories:
AC Milan
AC Milan are prepared to send new bid to Spurs for Emerson Royal as they hope to get the deal done next week. Proposal will be in excess of €15m, talks between clubs to continue. Emerson wants the move to Milan, as revealed in May; he’s already agreed on a five-year contract.
Al Ittihad
Arthur Theate’s move to Al Ittihad has collapsed. The Belgian defender completed the medical tests for Al Ittihad in Paris and contracts were under review, all set to sign. Internal complications at the club have blocked the deal.
Stefano Pioli’s appointment has also collapsed, and Al Ittihad remain on the hunt for a new manager. After Loay Nazer resigned as president, all deals are off, so Pioli won’t proceed in talks with Al Ittihad.
Arsenal
Arsenal are pushing to get the Riccardo Calafiori deal done next week as final round of talks has already been scheduled. Arsenal are confident as Calafiori wants the move, he’s keen on the Arsenal project and has agreed on a contract until June 2029 for €4m net per season. Deal close.
Calafiori to Arsenal looks likely despite links with other clubs like Chelsea and PSG - the Italian defender is only waiting for the Gunners as things stand.
Jakub Kiwior could leave Arsenal in case of a good proposal, with Riccardo Calafiori close to joining. There’s a possibility for a loan move but only with a mandatory buy clause. Italian clubs are keeping a close eye on the situation, but there have been no formal proposals yet.
