Chelsea have a bit of a problem in defence at the moment, conceding 11 goals in their first nine Premier League games this season.

How they could do with someone like Aaron Anselmino in their backline, with the talented young Argentine putting in a superb man of the match display for loan club Borussia Dortmund last night.

Anselmino has only played one game for Chelsea, but he’s showing his immense potential out on loan, putting in a strong display on the right of a back three last night.

WhoScored rated the 20-year-old as the statistically best player on the night, as he made three successful tackles and won 100% of his aerial duels.

You can see some of his most impressive moments in the video clip above, with there looking like being plenty for Chelsea to be encouraged about.

Can Aaron Anselmino make an impact at Chelsea?

Chelsea have put a lot of emphasis on signing the best young players from around the world, with Anselmino earning a big reputation at former club Boca Juniors.

The talented young South American will hope to gain experience from this spell at Dortmund, and it looks like he’s made the perfect start.

Even if Chelsea decided to loan Anselmino out this season, this will surely be with the view of eventually bedding him in to their starting line up.

With the likes of Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo not really performing to expectations at the moment, there’s surely already a case for Anselmino coming back in and being a regular in Enzo Maresca’s side very quickly.

Chelsea haven’t really been solid enough at the back this season, letting in 11 goals in their first nine Premier League games, four more than close rivals like Manchester City and Tottenham, who have conceded seven, while league leaders Arsenal have let in only three.

Anselmino looks like another fine signing for Chelsea, however, so Blues fans can look forward to him having a positive impact in the future.
