Ridiculous decision by Chelsea - Boehly failed him by sacking the entire recruitment team, putting Tuchel in charge of transfers, and then not giving him any time to work with the players he'd brought in. The Abramovich era may be over, but it's the same old Chelsea...

I believe that if an owner no longer believes in a manager, it is always better to part immediately rather than wait and lose a season.

No. I strongly disagree with this horrid decision. Tuchel came in and many of us fell in love with him almost instantaneously.

Last season, our club experienced unprecedented turmoil and chaos. He fielded unfair questions about war, morality, politics and worst of humanity. He handled it with grace and professionalism. Made us proud he was representing our club.

Losing Cech, as a buffer between Tuchel and these owners was a mistake.

I wish Super Tommy Tuchel nothing all the success and happiness in his new post. Just heartbroken it won’t be with Chelsea.

It makes no sense! We spend nearly 300 million on players handpicked by TT and then we sack him. What if the next gaffer wants 300 million in other players. We're right back to when we got a whole team set up for Pep and he went to City. That's when how many managers under Roman then tried to make that team into their own. It's like deja vu all over again. This was very unfair and poor business by Todd and Behdad.

Watch my video - there were differences in views over transfers - particularly over de Ligt and Ronaldo. Tuchel wanted de Ligt and thought Boehly did not act fast enough; Boehly wanted Ronaldo but pulled out because Tuchel said no. So, yes, Tuchel 'handpicked' but didn't always get what he asked for.

TBH Fab, I watched the immediately after my comment. I'm not surprised about the differences. I am surprised at the stories elsewhere that Tuchel didn't like being actively involved in the transfer search, despite the clear error with Lukaku last season and how that all came about. Awesome work, as always, Fab!

Did TT handpick them?

From what we've been told he picked most, if not all of them. Then again, who's to trust the media at this point? (Other than Fab, of course!)

It's not a good thing, hope they will not regret it

I think Thomas Tuchel should feel hard done by. Way too early to sack him. Why give him the transfer budget they did only to not give him time to allow the players to gel?

I think Graham Potter is an exciting appointment for Chelsea if it happens.

The decision to sack Tuchel is wrong. Chelsea are not performing that bad.

My decision is this, if TT had listened by playing each in their rightful position, the performance would have been excellent… you saw yourself that the players are not fit in the role you converted to, how did he want them to give him and the fans the results we all wanted…. Consistent Poor permanent caused TT this.

Todd had done his best by bringing him the 90% of all the players TT requested except those that decided to go to Barca instead. TT is the problem, I can not be spending and been horrible performances, I will do the same. My opinion

That was horrible decision

Then he made things worse by appointing G Porter as the favourate candidate instead of Pochetino or Zidane

Thus far anyone who will come to this project will change the whole setup

The owner and sporting director have to set a clear club philosophy and find a manager who buys into how they want to play

I am from Germany and since TT was sacked in Dortmund we have a „special“ opinion about him, because that he was fired by Dortmund was as well surprising. He did a great job with the team of Borussia Dortmund and maybe did not won everything but he helped the team to reach the next level. And for the situation of today, I can only say that it is the wrong decision and too early, but TTs behaviour / work approach has to play a role here. It can’t only be that the performance is not good enough, this is what I think

The decision was made hastly despite the poor performance....To my opinion I think it's not adding up to the fact that the league is still afresh
